I had a thought today driving to work, basically I was thinking about the positives and negatives of this lovely phenomena of individualism we seem to have coursing through our country and I thought about how open and easily malleable people are when they have an individualistic mindset.
When such focus is placed on the concerns and worries of the self, it is very difficult for a rising majority to support a common belief. So therefore new ideas that contest the established are few and far between. For the ruler this is quite a mindset to exploit!
Let’s promote the idea of individualism, call it freedom or nationalism or some other umbrella term and completely abolish the concept of collective thought. Its all about the self now! …it was a contemplative morning
