I just love this use of USB in Dead Drops project
This concept, along with many others around the web, are some of the worst ideas I’ve seen. There seems to be an entire genre of poorly informed concepts that were created just for people to give a quick, “oh, how clever.” and repost to their equally poorly-informed blogs.
USB connector cemented into a wall? I give it a day before some lunk snaps it off in their laptop. Oh, and electronic connections don’t like to get wet.
Daisy chained USB connectors? I give it 2 connections until the USB voltage drops to the point of being unusable.
Roof tile Birdhouse? Enjoy perpetually cleaning the bird shit off your roof.
These are not clever solutions, these are marvels and nothing more.
